Enjoy the barbecues, walks in Central Park and most importantly, the free concerts on offer! You will never be bored! Go and visit the Statue of Liberty, a symbol of the United States which offers a breathtaking view across the city.
The legendary attractions of the Big Apple
Continue your adventure by going to a show on Broadway! Broadway has over 40 theaters, so you are bound to find a musical or a play that suits you. If you prefer museums, New York is a global cultural center. The city has inspired many contemporary artists such as Andy Warhol and De Kooning, whose works can be seen in the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).
If you have a sweet tooth, take a break at M&M's store in Times Square, where there are two floors of nothing but M&Ms. In the evening, give yourself a break by going to see a movie! The Bryant Park Summer Film Festival in New York airs movies on a big screen in Bryant Park on Monday evenings at dusk during the months of June to August.
During your stay in New York, enjoy long walks in Central Park. You can also find all types of cuisine in New York: the hot dog street vendors on street corner to the trendy vegetarian restaurants in a converted basement.
English courses at The Juilliard School
The ELS English School is located at the Juilliard School during July and August, in the heart of New York's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. This location will allow you to make the most of the cultural activities in the big apple. The corridors of the renowned school of dance, theater and music, still echo with footsteps and voices of many celebrities who have gone on to become stars! A perfect place for fans of music and the arts!
The language school has its own computer center and a fully equipped library to allow you to improve your English! After class, jump on the table tennis and pool tables, or hang out in the music room and cafeteria.
English courses run for three weeks from Monday to Thursday, leaving you plenty of time to explore New York on one of the many excursions organized by ELS staff. These excursions always aim to show you American culture at its finest with trips to the famous MOMA (Museum of Art), a stroll through Wall Street or a visit to the headquarters of the United Nations in Greenwich Village.

Students stay in double rooms with shared hallway bathrooms. Laundry facilities are available, whilst a relaxation room offers breathtaking views of Manhattan! Cost includes 19 meals per week (breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Friday and brunch and dinner on weekends).
