Rochester, a peaceful and welcoming city
You may not be familiar with Rochester, but this city is located in the northeastern United States and is the third most populous city in the state of New York after New York City and Buffalo. Rochester is a pleasant city in which life is good and you can find an ideal framework for studying while integrating into American culture.
During breaks or after your English classes, you can treat yourself to American cuisine and taste the specialty of Rochester: the "white hot", a hot dog made of unsmoked pork, beef or veal. To relax after school or during the weekends, many activities are available to you: playing sports, attending hockey games, enjoying music concerts or theater performances and wandering through one of the beautiful parks of Rochester, such as the Highland Botanical Park, or along the Genesee River.
A language course in a historical city
The city of Rochester became known because it hosted the headquarters of Kodak, which allowed the city to become an industrial center of imaging and optics, and the home of Kodak's founder, George Eastman, has become a major museum of the city. The other iconic character of Rochester is Susan B. Anthony. This woman has campaigned all her life for the right to vote for women and for equal rights for all. Her home has also become a place of passage for people visiting the city of Rochester.
