Romeoville is a small town of about 40,000 residents. A peaceful place, Romeoville offers numerous parks and nature preserves for enjoying the outdoors. The area is home to numerous historical sites, museums and tourist attractions.

Opening on 13th October 2014, the ELS center is located on the campus of Lewis University, on of the United States’ finest Catholic universities. The university boasts a range of excellent facilities, available to ELS students, including gymnasium, swimming pool, library and computer center.

Romeoville, a musical center

One of the area’s first–rate attractions, the Philip Lynch Theater, is located right on the Lewis University campus, just a short walk from the ELS center! It hosts a popular mix of musical and theatrical productions. Fun times are just footsteps away.

Another popular local music venue is the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. Located in Tinley Park, the amphitheater is just 30 minutes from the Romeoville city center and is one of the largest music venues in the Chicago area. It has a capacity of up to 28,000 spectators. Students can enjoy virtually any kind of music there.

Chicago on your doorstep

Chicago, the third-largest city in the United States, is about 30 minutes away. There are many fascinating places to visit, including Grant Park Zoo, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Shedd Aquarium, the Second City comedy troupe, the Navy Pier entertainment complex, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and professional American football, basketball, ice hockey and baseball games.

Alternatively, why not wander through the downtown area and admire this city of skyscrapers, both modern and historic? You can contemplate the vastness of the city from the top of ultra-modern buildings such as the Willis Tower (442 meters) and the John Hancock Center (344 meters).
