ELS English Language Schools
ELS is a leader in teaching English as a foreign language
Over the past 50 years, ELS has taught English to more than 1.1 million students from 175 countries around the globe. With over 65 Centers located in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia (across more than 50 university campuses), ELS offers students a wide range of services: Intensive English courses for business, through to coaching for University admission and holiday language programs.
With its many years of experience, ELS has developed a unique teaching program as well as accompanying textbooks and educational software tailored to their students. Through the application of recognized teaching methods, the recruitment of qualified teachers and our curriculum incorporating 12 levels of English, we ensure the academic success of each and every one of our students.
Based in Princeton, New Jersey, ELS is the largest recruiter of international students to colleges and universities in the USA and Canada: more than 650 American, Canadian, European and Australian universities recognize the ELS Level 112 certification (equivalent to advanced level) as sufficient to enter their courses. When our students return to their home country at the completion of their studies, they generally progress to higher positions in areas of education, finance, and administration. Perhaps the most significant testament to the quality of an ELS education is the satisfaction of our alumni, who return to enroll their own children in our schools!
ELS Centers have comprehensive accreditation
All ELS language Centers are accredited by the governments of the countries in which they are located.
In the United States, our schools are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), a national accreditation agency endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education. As part of this accreditation, ELS Centers are recognized for the following English programs: intensive, semi-intensive, TOEFL®, American Explorer, Business English, CELTA preparation and many more programs. Federal law allows us to enroll foreign students in our school.
ELS Centers in Canada are accredited by Languages Canada, while Australian schools are members of English Australia as well as being accredited by NEAS Australia.
In addition, ELS is a prominent member of many professional associations and organizations concerned with English language teaching, including the AAIEP (American Association of Intensive English Programs), NAFSA (Association of International Educators) and AIRC (American International Recruitment Council).
